Exhibition Report: “Pola Museum Annex Exhibition 2020 -Transparency and Resistance-“ at Pola Museum Annex (Ginza area)
ポーラミュージアムアネックスでは、ポーラ美術振興財団が主催する「若手芸術家の在外研修助成」を受けたアーティスト3名のグループ展が11月25日(日)まで開催中です。
Pola Museum Annex is hosting a group show by 3 artists until November 25, all of who have studied overseas upon receiving “Grants for Overseas Study by Young Artsits” from the Pola Arts Foundation.
いずれもガラス使った作品制作をする３名の作家は、それぞれに異なるユニークなアプローチで素材と対話します。
The featured 3 artists all use glass as their medium, but in their own unique approach.
光を「透過」し、かつ「反射（抵抗）」するガラスというマテリアルが、どんな作品に昇華されるのか。成果物の個性は、対比によってさらに際立ちます。
How glass, as a material which lets light through (transparency) as well as reflects it (resistance), is interpreted and formed into works of art? The uniqueness of the end precuts resulted from the 3 artists’ labour is even more emphasized by comparison realized in this exhibition.
